Palestinian Gandhi on Trial Learning Portal

Welcome to the learning portal for Talking Human Rights’ four-episode educational series, Palestinian Gandhi on Trial. This series explores the life, and work of Palestinian non-violent activist, Issa Amro, as well as the ongoing targeting he faces by those who wish to stop him from doing his work.  In the series, we discuss this pattern of targeting, which has included detentions, arrests, beatings, and threats on his life. As of now, this targeting of Issa appears to be escalating, as he finds himself currently on trial before both an Israeli military court and simultaneously before a Palestinian Authority court, in both cases for exercising his basic rights of expression, assembly, and movement.

We invite you to check out the four episodes featuring Issa below, as well as the additional episodes we recorded to further flesh out the context of Issa’s case, the importance of Israel/Palestine, and of lead activists like Issa.
